Volunteer Work

Throughout the Second Lebanon War, Dr. Rina Markovits joined several therapist volunteer groups in order to help the residents of northern Israel, who had to stay in shelters.

Following the personal contact with the residents of Kiryat Shmona, which revealed the constant distress and post-traumatic symptoms burdening the lives of the region's residents, Rina decided to open a free homeopathy clinic there, offering continuous support and assistance.

After the war ended, Dr. Markovits went on to run a strictly pro bono clinic in Kiryat Shmona, open to the residents of the region.

After approximately four years of activity and dozens of patients, Dr. Markovits continues to see patients in the free clinic on a monthly basis. This project is supported by two pharmacies, which supply remedies free of charge: the Super Pharm and the Armon Pharmacy in Haifa.

The project is immensely valued and cherished by the patients and is helping in the introduction of homeopathy to a population which previously had no access to the field.
